Therapeutic actions:

Clinical indications:

Respiratory system: Restores elasticity of the lungs. It is indicated in pulmonary stasis and professional lung disease associated with sclerosis, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, cystic fibrosis, pulmonary fibrosis, and chronic asthma.

Hepatic system: Prevents fibrosis from progressing to cirrhosis. Corylus avellana constitutes with Juniperus communis (Juniper), one of the greatest remedies for cirrhosis. Hepatic steatosis (fatty liver). Liver-related anger.

Clinical experience:

Do not use if the patient is tuberculosis or mycobacterium avium–intracellulare carrier (rupture of fibrous tissue may convert the carrier state to an active state of the illness).

Never use in cases of lung cancer (may cause metastasis, unless it is used conjointly with chemotherapy).

Use with prudence if given conjointly with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs – Celexa (citalopram), Luvox (fluvoxamine), Paxil (paroxetine), has the capacity to increase serotonin levels
